When Forge is the right fit
Forge is ideal when your team needs Atlassian-native functionality without standing up a separate app server. I use it for workflow surfaces, issue panels, admin tools, approvals, reporting views, and Marketplace-ready products.
- Custom Jira issue panels, project pages, admin pages, and workflow actions
- Confluence/JSM extensions that keep users in the Atlassian workspace
- Permission-aware UI and API behavior aligned with your tenant model
- Marketplace app foundations: product UX, scopes, support paths, and launch readiness
Have a Marketplace app idea?
If you've spotted a gap on the Atlassian Marketplace — a missing tool, a clunky competitor, a feature your team built internally that others would pay for — I build it for you end-to-end. You bring the idea; I bring the Forge engineering, the Marketplace requirements knowledge, and a fixed price.
- Scoping sprint that turns the idea into a build-ready spec and fixed quote
- Built to Marketplace standards: UX, least-privilege scopes, security and privacy requirements
- Listing readiness: app details, support paths, and what Atlassian's review expects
- You publish under your own vendor account — the app, the IP, and the revenue are yours
Already shipped: I was the sole engineer on a live Marketplace app delivered end-to-end, and Verdaro Labs' own first app — Secret Notes for Jira & JSM — is live on the Marketplace, so the path from idea to listed app is one I've walked, not just read about.
How a build works
Every Forge build starts with a fixed spec, then a focused implementation plan: UX, data flow, scopes, edge cases, QA, and IP handover. The goal is a production app you own — not a demo, and not a retainer.
Map the Jira/Confluence workflow, users, permissions, and constraints — and fix the scope and price.
Implement Forge UI, resolver logic, storage/API calls, and Atlassian scopes.
Review edge cases, failure states, security posture, and rollout behavior against the spec.
Deliver the full source code, deployment notes, and IP — the app is yours to run and change.

FAQ
Can you build Marketplace apps?
Yes. I can build Forge apps with Marketplace readiness in mind: UX, scopes, support flow, privacy/security claims, and launch handover. You own the app and can publish it under your own vendor account.
Will the app run on Atlassian infrastructure?
Forge apps run on Atlassian-managed infrastructure. Data-flow claims still depend on the app design, integrations, and whether external APIs are involved.
Can you work with an existing Forge app?
Yes. I can review, extend, harden, or refactor existing Forge apps if the current architecture and access model are workable.
